Our First Mystery Skype

Our class participated in their first Mystery Skype adventure today.

Shortly after 1:40pm (PST) we called Mr. Day and his intermediate students at Lucille Whitehead Intermediate School (LWIS), and through selective geographical questioning we tried to find their location in the world.  At the same time they tried to figure out our location.  This was LWIS’s first international Mystery Skype.  They were used to asking questions to locate other US states, and so it took them a little longer to find our location.

Students of mine who have played 20 questions understood the question/answer method quite well, both others struggled framing their questions in a way to get useful information from a yes/no answer.
