Federal Election 2015

Students will be learning about levels of government in Social Studies in Term 1.  To help develop students’ understanding of civics, they will also be participating in a parallel election hosted by Student Vote. The official Canadian Federal Election takes places on October 19th.  Your child, along with thousands of other youth across the country will be conducting their own school elections during the week of Oct 13th-16th.  Div 3’s vote will take place on Friday, Oct 16th at 1pm in the school library.

It is important to me that you are as involved with your child’s education as you would like to be, so I am extending an invitation to attend the Chilliwack-Hope candidate presentations in the school library.  Below is an up to date schedule.  If you cannot make it to the school, you can watch a live stream or a recorded version.  See the link under the candidate’s name.
